August 2020 - Brad Himes & Jason Sniff The Groups Conference for October 2020 is being postponed until Fall 2021 due to the current COVID pandemic. The conference will still focus on the same theme of As We Go... with Rick Howerton as the main session speaker. In the meantime, to help equip group leaders & pastors navigate this unique season we will be hosting multiple webinars. The webinars will offer opportunities to connect with others, learn from group practitioners, and more. The upcoming dates & times are as follows with more info on the session topics to come:

Rick Howerton We are excited to announce the main speaker for the 2021 conference is Rick Howerton. Rick is a returning speaker with The Groups Conference and we are excited to have him back. His extensive background in the area of groups and discipleship are a natural fit with our conference theme... "As We Go...". Rick spent 13 years as the small group specialist at LifeWay Church Resources, three years with NavPress as their Small Group Specialist, and is currently the Kentucky Baptist Convention, Church Consultant for the South Central Region of Kentucky. Rick has authored or co-authored multiple books, studies, and leader training resources including:
Rick's varied ministry experiences as a collegiate minister, small group pastor, teaching pastor, elder, fulltime trainer and church consultant, as well as having been a successful church planter gives him a perspective of church life that is all-encompassing and multi-dimensional. Rick is a highly sought after communicator and trainer. Rick's deepest passion and his goal in life is to see, "a biblical small group within walking distance of every person on the planet making disciples that make disciples." |

We are excited to announce The Groups Conference is coming back in October 2020 and the host church is Eastview Christian Church in Normal, IL. The conference will be a 2-day event and feature main sessions along with multiple workshops geared specifically for the group leader.
The theme for 2020 is As We Go... and our focus will be on how groups (and individuals) can impact the communities around us.
